Abstract
Before we begin our discussion of dynamics, it is necessary to review a few definitions. We review the terms function, one-to-one, onto, continuous, and inverse function. A good, working knowledge of these terms is fundamental to understanding the following material. We also introduce homeomorphisms and complete the section by reviewing the Intermediate Value Theorem.
