Abstract
The methodology of the contemporary psychological experiment is closely tied to the general major problems of psychological theory and, in the last analysis, is always only a reflection of how the most important problems of psychology were solved. Specifically for this reason, criticism of the basic views of the essence and development of mental processes must of necessity also involve a review of the basic positions related to research methodology.
