Abstract
The reader will recall that the Banach algebra A(G) is analytic whenever G is infinite. That result is Theorem 9.3.1 (or 9.3.3), and the concept of an analytic algebra is discussed again in Sections 10.1 and 10.3. The reader will recall also what it means for a set E ⊆ G to be a Helson set, and how the Helson constant α(E) is defined.
