This TC welcomes submissions in three broad areas of Mechanical Engineering: Design, computational and applications. Design is related to structures and composites, applied mechanics, fracture mechanics, materials science and processing, vibrations, elasticity and loads, control, mechatronics, robotics, smart materials and intelligent systems, heat exchangers, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and manufacturing, product design, compliant mechanisms, sensors and actuators, MEMS and micro and nano mechanics. Computational is concerned with simulation, vibrations, finite element method (FEM), plasma and fusion, dynamics, engines, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermal expansion, hydrostatics, gas flow and temperature measurement. Applications include biomolecular systems, microfluids, vehicle dynamics, autonomous vehicles, unmanned vehicles, maritime architecture, naval engineering, military engineering, railway engineering, automotive engineering, HVAC, biomechanics, engineering in cancer, nuclear science and engineering, nuclear reactor systems, radiation protection and shielding, reactor safety, nuclear radiation and measurements, acoustical engineering, education, public policy, project management , transportation, safety and maintenance. Research papers on Mechanical Engineering Applications not mentioned are welcome to be submitted.
