Advances and challenges in Engineering Geology: celebrating 60 years of IAEG

We are launching a Special Issue of the BOEG to mark the 60th anniversary of our Organization. This Issue welcomes papers that explore the present state and future directions of engineering geology - a concise journey through the decades to reflect on our shared past and embrace the challenges of the future. Our intention is to deliver a selected collection of invited contributions from distinguished senior researchers, affirmed professionals, as well as young rising researchers. The aim of the Issue is to review the milestones that have defined engineering geology, highlight advances in the latest research and practice, and present insightful case studies. We particularly encourage regional and thematic perspectives from IAEG National Groups to foster a discussion on the role of engineering geologists in tackling the global challenges of our changing world.
