Urban Mining for Environmental & Resource Sustainability

Urban mining has a close relation to environmental and resource sustainability. It is foreseen to be an effective solution for a circular economy and industrial ecology, ultimately leading to reach urban sustainability. Also, finding new strategic procedures and innovative measures could be a more effective urban environment with sustainable developments. This special issue explores various sustainable urban mining concepts and approaches to achieve environmentally and resource sustainability in urban areas.

His research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Machine Learning, the Internet of Things, Blockchain, and Cloud Computing.

    Dr. Xiaochun Cheng is working as SL in Internet Security/Operating Systems/Programming, Middlesex University, United Kingdom. He is a member of the IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Intelligence, IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Intelligent Internet Systems, IEEE Communications Society Communications and Information Security Technical Committee, IEEE Technical Committee on Cloud Computing, BCS AI Specialist Group, BCS Information Security Specialist Group. His research areas include AI, Security, Data Science, Decision Science, and Education Technology.

  • Sathishkumar V E

    Dr. Sathishkumar is a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He published more than 50 research articles in reputed Journals and Conferences. His research interests include Data Mining, Big data Analytics, Cryptography, Digital Forensics and Computational Chemistry.
