SI - Hyperautomation with Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning

Due to the impact of COVID-19, many traditional manufacturers have stopped their production lines because of the lack of workforce, pushing those industries to accelerate digital transformation and operate production and process automation. Hyperautomation is an extended concept of conventional automation, exceeding the scope of a single procedure. Combining Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), hyperautomation can automate almost all repetitive tasks. Moreover, hyperautomation can even dynamically explore sales or production processes to obtain optimal results. Hyperautomation primarily utilizes a series of tools, such as AI, RPA, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL), to reach the optimal condition by dynamic exploration and automating the processes through robots to improve effectiveness and production yields. Regarding the algorithm perspective, studies can suggest the hyperautomation algorithms, for example, the dynamic exploration process and optimal process analysis. On the other hand, from the application perspective, discussions can research various hyperautomation processes in industries to accelerate production and effectiveness. Furthermore, during the dynamic exploration in hyperautomation, selecting appropriate tools to complete the task precisely is challenging. This special issue enables researchers and engineers interested in hyperautomation issues to offer novel approaches and advance the technology and benefits of hyperautomation.
