    Javier Baena is professor of Prehistory and Archaeology teaching several issues at different Universities of Spain particularly at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid (Spain). His work at the University (Universidad Autónoma of Madrid) teaching Experimental Archaeology since 1990, has promoted different Experimental centres in Spain like for example Museo de los orígenes (Madrid), La Algaba (Málaga), Carex (Burgos) etc. His activity provides scientific experience to many generations of Spanish archaeologists.

    Manuel Vaquero Rodríguez is a researcher at the IPHES. His activity follows a number of lines of research focused on the archaeological study of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic populations, paying special attention to the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic. These lines of research can be summarized in the following points: - Technological behaviour in the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic. - Spatial organization and social structure of Middle and Upper Palaeolithic populations. - Cultural changes in the Middle/Upper Palaeolithic boundary. - High-resolution research and dissection of archaeological palimpsests.
