Call for Papers: Special Issue on Real-time Production and Detection of Artificial Intelligence Generated Image Content (AIGIC)

With the rapid development of Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies and large-scale pre-trained models such as GANs, Transformers, Diffusion models, and Chat-GPT, it is getting more and more effortless for users to produce “realistic digital content” (of particular interest here are images and video) based on their inputted keywords or requirements, which is also named as Artificial Intelligence Generated Image Content (AIGIC).

Due to the complexity structure of generative artificial intelligence models and the large amount of training image data, the training and production processes of AIGIC are time consuming. Thus, to satisfy the real-time production requirements in practical applications, it is necessary to efficiently produce AIGIC. Moreover, the widespread utilization of AIGIC poses trust, security, and privacy threats to the public, such as privacy invasion, authorship and inventorship infringement, identity fraud, fake news creation, and financial crime. To prevent the AIGIC from such threats, a key issue involves how to detect the AICIG efficiently.

This special issue is seeking original research papers exploring a wide range of topics related to real-time production and detection of AIGIC.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

-Real-time Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies for image/video generation

-Real-time AIGIC production by large-scale pre-trained models

-Real-time adversarial attacks in AIGIC

-Real-time privacy protection in AIGIC

-Real-time authorship and inventorship protection in AIGIC

-Real-time identity authentication in AIGIC

-Real-time trustworthiness confirmation and authenticity detection in AIGIC

-Real-time deep fake detection technologies for AIGIC

-Real-time digital forensics for AIGIC

-Real-time steganography and watermarking in AIGIC
