Management of Reeves’ muntjac, an invasive alien game species
- Submission status
- Closed
Over the years, numerous non-native species of animals and plants have established themselves beyond their historical distribution range, either due to deliberate introduction or natural colonization. When these species spread extensively and pose significant ecological or economic impacts, they are classified as 'invasive.' Consequently, individual countries and the European Union have taken measures to address the containment or eradication of these invasive species. In light of this issue, we are launching a new Topical Collection centered on the impact and management of Invasive Alien game species, with a special feature on Reeves’ muntjac (Muntiacus reevesi).
