Plant Drought and Heat Stress
- Submission status
- Closed
Plant drought and heat stress are an increasing problem in crop production in many regions of the world. Plants have evolved various adaptation mechanisms to survive unfavorable environmental conditions. Nevertheless, agricultural productivity is falling. Appropriate strategies have to be developed to support physiological and biochemical processes of plant stress adaptation and thus improve the stress tolerance of plants.
