COVID-19 : diagnosis, management and prognosis
- Submission status
- Closed
Since December 2019, a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has broken into people's life, as a major public health threat worldwide. At the time of this writing, there are over 3 million people infected with SARS-CoV-2 globally and every 30 seconds someone dies from the catastrophic complications of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) .The body of knowledge on COVID-19 is increasing exponentially, but conflicting opinions and confusing issues dominate the scientific debate. Urgent issues to be addressed include clinical characterization across age groups, evaluation of the impact of current and novel therapeutic approaches, delineation of key risk factors, and definition of best regulatory and management decisions that are expected to ameliorate outcomes.
This Topical Collection aims to expand the current knowledge base and to advance the scientific debate on COVID-19, in particular with respect to diagnosis, management and prognosis. Researches, analyses and opinions that explores phenomena, effects and mechanisms associated with COVID-19 are welcome.
Researchers, academics, physicians and healthcare professionals interested in these topics are invited to submit manuscripts to this Collection
