Abstract
The distance of information transmission in fiber system can be affected by Linewidth Enhancement Factor. In this paper, the influence of chirp parameter in optical fiber communication system on fiber dispersion is analyzed as emphases. Taking Gaussian pulse as signal source, the impact of frequency chirp together with the Linewidth Enhancement Factor on the performance of optical fiber communication system is studied by solving nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Finally, it is concluded that the efficiency of transmission is improved dramatically by reducing the Linewidth of laser.
