Abstract

The treatment of obesity is very rewarding and challenging. We have enjoyed nearly 26 yr of providing a comprehensive weight-management program to our community. Our program began in one small room and now fills four large office suites throughout Columbus, Ohio. What follows is a description of a comprehensive weight-management program that has proven successful through many years. Along with this is a description of the experience of a typical patient, Mary S., who participated in all phases of our program. The chapter is outlined in Table 1.
