Abstract
The incidence of sudden arrhythmic deaths continues to be a significant problem despite the fact that mortality from acute coronary syndromes continues to decrease in response to early interventions and improved secondary prevention (1–3). Most patients with coronary artery disease who suffer cardiac arrest (CA) do not have acute myocardial infarction (AMI [4–6]). Thus, primary arrhythmic causes of CA are becoming increasingly important.
