Abstract
Establishing a correct diagnosis in the case of a malformed or dysmorphic embryo, fetus, or infant can often be quite difficult and, at times, impossible. Yet the diagnosis may have significant impact on genetic counseling for the parents of the affected child. The likelihood of arriving at the appropriate diagnosis increases substantially with meticulous dissection and an experienced prosector.
