Abstract
All millenarians require a god and a satan, a christ and an antichrist, the lamb and the serpent, the holy and the unholy, lightness and darkness, heaven and hell, and in-groups and out-groups. All of these concepts exemplify the dichotomized world inhabited by adherents to an apocalyptic faith. Such conceptualizations define, sustain, and legitimate their identities.
