Abstract

The most notable Adventist activity in Maroantsetra and Sahameloka is Bible study. There is a very clear focus on Bible study as part of institutionalized Seventh-day Adventist church services, but the members of the church also study the Bible at home with their families throughout the week.

It is the Sabbath School that is the heart of the church. If the Sabbath School dies, then the church does not progress anymore.

Sekoly Sabata no fon’ ny fiangonana. Raha maty ny Sekoly Sabata, dia tsy mandeha ny fiangonana.

(lay leader in Maroantsetra)
