Abstract

We have seen how Satan is omnipresent in the world of the local Adventists and how his influence is felt in numerous kinds of ways. However, in Madagascar, Satan’s favorite trick is to act in the guise of the ancestors. In order to realize what a drastic statement this is in the Malagasy context, one needs to fully understand the significance of the ancestors for Malagasy people.
