Abstract
Victory, says an old proverb, has many fathers, but defeat has none. Enron ended in defeat. Who was responsible for its débâcle? “Its management,” is an obvious answer, but it will be short-sighted if limited to its top brass. Even an answer which says: “all of the company’s management,” is partial.
