Abstract
Everybody seems to be in favour of human rights. That is true for governments that have made it a constituent element of their foreign policy. It is true for global and regional intergovernmental organizations that devote elegant words to it in international treaties and declarations. It is of course also true for NGOs that spend all or part of their efforts on it. And nowadays it is true of many multinational corporations who use it in their public relations campaigns.
