Abstract

There are two main kinds of MSN, which differ in their lexicopoietic nature: MSN introducing a new lexical item and MSN introducing a new sememe to a pre-existent lexical item. PSM, SPM and PM can belong to both lexicopoietic kinds, but this chapter will focus on PSM since it has so often been used by Israeli purists (see the statistical analysis in §7).
