Abstract
By general opinion, Hans Singer is Britain’s most highly-respected and most-loved development economist. He is better known in the developing countries than any other economist, and is held in enormous regard. Economists there have put his name forward on several occasions to receive the Nobel prize for economics in recognition of his work for the benefit of developing countries.
