Abstract
It is perhaps fitting that this review of Singer’s work over the past 30 years since he first arrived at the Institute of Development Studies in 1969 should end with his views on the relevance of the works of his two mentors, Schumpeter and Keynes, for developing countries, based on his profound experience during the years he spent at the United Nations (see Part II), just as he recognized their legacies following his days at Bonn and Cambridge universities (see Part I).
