Abstract

A survey of the structure of Britain’s imperial economic relations between 1947 and 1958, and of changes in the quantitative and regional importance of the pertinent data, will facilitate the understanding of the study’s argument about the connection between British imperial policy and financial politics. The aim is to give a synopsis that is not readily available elsewhere, to which readers can return for reference.1
