Abstract

The essays presented in this book have been written during the last few years. Most of them are now published for the first time, while two others, which have previously been published, have been revised and updated.1 Altogether, this collection, in examining a variegated, interrelated menu of themes, aims to make an informative and stimulating statement about Poland’s historical development from the beginning to the end of the twentieth century.
