Abstract

What do we mean by a historical tradition? As a rule this implies that the work of a great teacher is carried on by his students, who use the knowledge acquired to score new successes. During their research they may discover truths which contradict those they have been taught, yet there is still an element of continuity in the way the subject is studied.
