Abstract
Chapter 8 summarizes the contributions of this book to clarifying self-referent concepts and addressing unresolved issues in research on self-sentiments discussed in Chapter 1. This chapter also advances a list of recommendations and exhortations based on theoretical discussions and empirical analyses contained in this book. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the limitations of this book and suggestions as to how future research might address these limitations.
