Abstract
The concluding remarks serve to situate the empirical chapters in a broader context of address research. They outline how each study contributes to the overall theme of the volume — that is, address as a form of social action through which social and interpersonal relationships are encoded and negotiated in and across cultures and languages — and point to future research.
