Abstract

Chapter eight points to how, within the faculty of the humanities, efforts are already under way to address the challenges presented by the human turn. Te human sciences are already in the process of redefining themselves in relation to their historical heritage. Post-disciplinary disciplines are being established, and fundamental borders are being overstepped. As they turn in new directions and intrepidly explore new fields, the human sciences themselves address and contribute to a human turn.
