Abstract
The call for knowledge and know-how about humans with the human turn leads to a general turn towards the human factor in science, research and education. A brief look at the life sciences, health sciences and “big data” exemplifies how a number of sciences are turning towards the human and setting new agendas for the modes of living that currently exist.
In turn, this raises the question of how humans are affected by, and how they relate to, the knowledge about humankind that is uncovered by these important branches of sciences.
