Abstract

The PeCap perspective on generating content for the screen sets challenges for spatial theory, and significantly contributes to a (re)understanding of the binary of physical and virtual space in performance. In the foreseeable future, when PeCap becomes a common and accepted practice it will not need to be ‘fixed’ post capture. In order for this to occur with the greatest effect, our sense of operation, performance and direction requires a repurposed approach that includes significant changes in the way operators, directors and performers are prepared into the future.
