Abstract
Following the general analysis of all publications of South African scientists from 1945 to 2010 presented in the previous chapter, a closer examination of the relevant aspects of publications is warranted. For this purpose the publications of eight years have been sampled. The sampled years are 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010, with the same class interval of five years. All the publications that come under these selected years are covered for the analysis.
