Abstract

It does not take too much by way of predictive capabilities to know that the future will be one that includes political and economic volatility, environmental challenges, and disruptive technological innovations. A future of environmental destruction, impoverished living conditions, overpopulation, and a growing reliance on computer technology have been predicted for decades and already paints a realistic image of the present for many today. While the challenges facing the planet are significant, if we focus on the specific issue of how to educate and train future generations to become part of the solution instead of part of the problem, we may be able to address and perhaps avoid the most significant problems.
