Abstract
For Anne Abraham, the timing was right. It was 2011 and the Malaysian government had just announced a goal to have 30 per cent of all board positions filled by women. She had been CEO of Cisco Malaysia for three years and was asking herself what she really wanted to do in the next phase of her life. Having moved up from a technical position to become CEO of two businesses — she previously had the role at SAP Malaysia -she “thought it was good for me to reflect and capture some of the things that had helped me to get there and help women realize their own capabilities to get them there.”
