Abstract

This article deals with those who in daily life maintain a relationship with a transcendental universe and a thought-world in which “power,” and the ability to use this power, are central, and hold the belief that magic is something that acts, that influences, that causes something to happen.

The text is translated by Dr. Clive Tolley, Docent, Department of Folkloristics, University of Turku, Finland.
