Abstract

As we progress deeper down the cyber hole, the 1999 film The Matrix comes to mind. As Neo is about to enter a more conscious state through taking a truth pill, he is warned:

You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe… You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes… Remember that all I am offering is the truth. Nothing more. (The Matrix, Silver and Cracchiolo, 1999)
