Abstract

The present value of the Occupation Loan is found to be close to the disbursement allocated by Germany to bailout Greece in the current debt crisis. Thus Chapter 6 proposes a negotiation that will settle Germany’s war- debt obligation in exchange of relieving today’s Greek debt. The move will enable the two countries to avoid an escalation of negative stereotyping at each other and work together to ease the current economic problems.
