Abstract

Having outlined the context regarding the current state of adult lifelong learning participation, I will now turn to exploring the mechanisms behind why certain adults do and other adults do not participate in adult lifelong learning. I will thus explore why, from the policy point of view, these mechanisms do or do not contribute to the benchmarks and indicators relating to adult lifelong learning participation.
