Conclusion

  • Chapter
Queer BDSM Intimacies

Abstract

This empirical study has focused on dyke + queer BDSM practices, subjectivities and communities. The analysis of the interviews has shown that this small, socially marginalized subculture has interesting perspectives to offer on issues that are of great significance for current theorizing about gender, sexuality, consent, intimacy, power, community, subjectivities, embodiment, agency and social spaces.
