Measuring the Impact of Leadership Training

These are two actual comments that I received from two employees describing their leaders in this study. I immediately asked myself—How can these employees be equally productive on the job? While these extreme cases certainly don’t represent the state of affairs for all leaders and their direct reports in the organization, they do highlight and reinforce how important it is to have a good leader doing the right things to motivate you every day. Across any large organization, on any given day, there are thousands of employees being influenced in big ways by little things their leader does or says throughout the day. Consequently, any change or improvement in these leaders can have a profound and resounding effect on employees’ performance and productivity. This is what was measured in this study.
