Abstract

Lord Carnarvon funded the legendary expedition to locate the tomb of Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamen. The apparent victim of a curse, Carnarvon died in Cairo. It is said that his pet dog Susie howled and died at the exact moment of his death, even though she was thousands of miles away in England.
