Abstract

In a sense, Rabin’s very resignation marked the beginning of his resurrection. The way he left office, standing by his wife and insisting that the prime minister must remain above suspicion, created much sympathy. Although he did not return as head of government until 1992, he would be back in government, as minister of defense, in 1984.
