Abstract
This chapter gives the young researchers’ views on the three models for reflecting on participatory research that are presented in the chapters by Kerawalla, Michail and Hughes. The different strengths of each model are identified and suggestions are made for how these might appeal to different young people. The young researchers then identify eight key ingredients in child-led research: think about research as made up of lots of different stages; think about different influence in each stage; provide support for young people’s leadership; adapt methods to suit the needs of individual children or young people; build trust; value difference but work towards agreements; adults should back off; and everyone should try to make it fun!
