Abstract
One task of this book is to read works of art (fiction) — that is, cultural productions which perform themselves as representations of non-reality, together with cultural productions which perform themselves as representations of reality (media footage), two seemingly juxtaposed idioms. However, mass media and fiction perform similar basic operations at the structural level (such as temporal sequencing and emplotment) and have been nearing each other as societal fields.
