Abstract
ECAs classify export credit risks in several ways and the ECA terminology contains terms such as political and commercial risks, short-term risk, medium-to long-term risk, project risk, country risk, sovereign risk, transferring risk, currency risk, manufacturing risk, etc. Some of these terms are generally known but some have special meaning in the context of ECA cover and need further explanation.
