Abstract

The key objective of this book is to explore regional transformation in South Asia in the post-Cold War era by explaining trends in the areas of democracy, political economy and security. As noted in the Introduction, several regional trends in South Asia deserve closer scrutiny because they highlight the potential rise of transformative variables in the region.
