Abstract
Nowadays, in the global economy scenario, technology is fundamental; it covers every aspect of our lives and has substantially altered the way people relate to one another and do business (Del Giudice et al., 2012; Carayannis, 2009). Moreover, the velocity with which technology has developed and spread worldwide is amazing and its rate does not seem to decrease (Chesbrough, 2003; Itami et al., 2010) (figure 2.1).
