Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to analyse the implications of Basel III as well as some of the other key legislative developments we have examined thus far, such as ring fencing and payments legislation, on the business of transaction banking. To do so, I will use the typical product lines of transaction banking as described in Chapter 3. For the purpose of the below analysis I will use the following categorisation.
