Abstract
Before we look at the first question, how was it possible to expand a banking sector so much in a 7-year period, we need to be aware of who the bank owners are, what background and experience they had, and, even more important ly, how they came to be there. Getting acquainted with the owners helps explain some of the unusual decisions made throughout the 7-year period leading up to the collapse.
